Pre-Finals Update

The semester is about to end and well, I'm currently in a state wherein I'm preparing for all the heaviness about to consume me. Amidst the bustle of preparations for the finals and my major academic readjustment that I had to go through this semester, our family also decided to finally end all our connections with our high school environment and move on to a more personal place.

I don't know if this is the reason behind all my sentimental unmotivated state I'm currently wanting to brush off me. This will pass, I'm sure of it. I wanted to jot them down as a means of getting myself to resume my work. Dang, accursed physics exam 8(

I'll resume note-taking as soon as I find the time. For now, I must return to Tensile Stress and all that junk.

We Will Not Grow Old

I've grown addicted yet again to Lenka that my recent artworks are influenced by her bright songs and lively lyrics. This is for the @rte Movement Contest with the theme "When I Was a Kid". I had so much fun painting this! It took quite long to finish because of the several requirements I had to be tortured into doing attend to for the month of August (hell month!).

I got depressed halfway because the .psd file got corrupted (beyond repair-- I had to test out several .psd recovery software, but all failed to recover this piece's one) and I had to continue working on top of a flattened image. It was a good thing I only had to finish the background. It'd be very difficult if I have to shade the foreground from base colors!

And voila!

I'm off. Good night!

Mid-Semester Delight

Oh the days I could have saved hours off of my pink card!!! Why is it that I have thought of plugging the broadband cable at our boarding house room only last night?

Yes, just last night a voice inside my head told me to crawl underneath the bunk bed and dig for the broadband cable already gray from the dust (yes for around half a year we never touched it). I'm not really amazed that the cable is still virtually connected and is active. What really drives me insane is what exactly made me think of trying it out after it being dead for how many months.

So yeah. I am here again. With 24/7 internet connection.

I'M ALIVE!!!!! *epileptic seizure* (i-it's my oxygen tube!!! My life support system!!! Pull it off of me and I will DIE)

Juggling Isn't So Fun When You Have Lots to Balance

It takes a huge amount of concentration and dexterity when it comes to juggling. This applies for both physical and non-physical juggling, but I'm talking about the one which involves intangible objects, and I'm not talking about social life *chuckles*. [Although my social life is much better (way better) than what I had back in pre-high school, my introvert nature still makes me lean towards liking my alone time more. If only I could spend time with and for myself more hehehe]

It is hard to balance things especially when *sigh* you know you have the ability to excel in them. It's just like an online MMORPG character in which you can choose only one class which in turn provides an even narrower choice to concentrate on your stats [actually, you can max out a specific stat not necessarily related to your class but in turn it will affect your performance greatly. Say, maxing INT for an RO Swordsman will give lots of SPs but it will make him sluggish and defenseless when it comes to what he's supposed to do]. Unless you are high-leveled, which means you can evenly max out the stats, if you want best performance, one must pick which stat to focus on, which in turn limits your choice of character class.

Okay, so what's up with all this RO/MMORPG analogy? Well, if life were one and the available choices for me would an artisan, technical analyst and manipulator, bard or orator, which class should I pick?

Sonnet 18: Tapestry of Quills

In between what time's hands have swept across
Lies a fragment of that one memory
The gears in their vain attempt to be free
Rusted shut to delay the threading loss

Before I rest tonight I'll lay waiting
'Til his arrival marked by lulling song
Waking hours to surrender not for long
Slumber by silvery feathers' brushing

And when the rays claw through the drapery
Kept safe in his smile is a good morning
Waking up to soft melodious humming
Bathing me with sun-melted ear-candy

To sway towards where his wind-spun wings go
A pendant hanging by his breathing soul
